When 小亲亲 sent me a message to invite me to be a host of channel e , I said yes immediately. I thought it'll be fun and it's worth to try. And most of all , I love you guys. I know you won't let me down [s:1]
But there're something I want to tell you first. I'm not the one who can speak and write English very well.I just happen to live in the country that I have to speak English everyday. I learned English mostly by myself.For studying English,my opinion is just say it,use it,. as much as you can.No matter how bad your English is. There's some rules of learning English but there's no certain way.
The best thing is we got some professionals here,like 澳宝妈，Vivian....they can correct us in the right way after we wrote something down.So that's the way how we improve our English.

For me, as lots of people, I learned English for over 10 yrs from school.And also as lots of people, I still don't know how to use English in the right way. Before I came to Canada, I think my English was poor.I have no patient to finish a whole article. The grammar kills me. Fortunatelly I got nice voice and I don't have much Chinese accent in my English.That makes me feel much better when i'm talking .

At the 1st year in Canada I spent lots of time watching TV and reading books.That was very helpful.And aslo talking with some native is very important. When I use some words not correct they will kindly reply in the right words.So I'll know how to use these words next time. For this point, I think it's an exercise to build an English thinking. It's like thinking and speaking English directly. We used to think Chinese first then translate to English.

And when I was pregnant I start to read books about having a baby and how to raise kids. From there I learned lots of new words. I found it's so easy to remember when you need to use it. People find so hard to remember the words is because they don't need them.They have no feelings about these words. That's why language　environment is so important.

For those who lack of such a nice language environment, your argument will undoubtedly let them down.
That English can't be done at one stroke seems senseless.
Is that what you try to convey everyone will be a successful speaker if he or she has those native guys always ready for them to reach?
Some one once told me that years of hard working on English is less effective than one year's stay in USA.
More and more people's experience overseas began convincing me...

"Years of hard working on English is less effective than one year's stay in USA" is so true. Because you have to use English everyday. Listen and speak all the time.The situation force you to learn English fast.

But for those who wants to learn English in China. It's all depend how big decision they are making. People all have a lazy side. If I can choose,I'd like to speak Mandarin instead of English and I'd like to write Chinese more than English. That's why it's hard to learn English when people all use Chinese. And that's why we need to open a channel to make a small English environment for those who like to learn English.

And also I want to say, don't think learning English is a tough job. English is just a tool to make you to comunicating with people from other countries and to make you knowing the world better. Yes, you need some basic words,and you need certain grammar,but you can learn it in a fun way. You can learn it from daily talking ,from a interesting book, from a lovely song, from an attractive movie......from everywhere if you have an open mind.

Staying English country and having some native guys talking with will make everything easy.But it's not the only way. All I'm saying is try to use English as much as possible if you really want to learn.

And Thank You for discussing with me about English learning. I think our talking will give those who wants to learn English some ideas.

I felt the hostess's word is very clear and easy to know.This give us more encouragment to speak something.I think a channel not only need a good hostess ,but also need more and more people pay attention to it.Many English channel run a short time .I hope this channel could run folourishly.

In my company, English is a bridge to the promotion and salary. So, to learn English well is so urgent to me. But I always feel no patient in my English study.
Thanks for the discussion of the best way in learning English by the 洋洋妈妈 and 蔚蓝, the point of the discussion is also puzzled me in my English learning period.
But now, I don't complain about my poor English dut to my worse environment.......I think, have a right attitude is the most important thing. Having a open mind, with patient, .......

My english from my kids,they teach me everyday,I live australia 10years,but I never learn english,now ,my kids growing up ,they are go to school.so ,if something I don"t know ,ask them.they are very happy tell me .now I can learn from 169,thanks.

thank you from my heart . some yeas I haven't say english and writ english .now ,my english level like a student(middle school). many words be lost by me .the main reasons is the enviroment of langunage issue . no feeling . But i want to leanr it ,i like it .as 洋羊妈妈 says,it is tooling about communication . i like communication with yours . baby 169's friends !

I hadn't read English texts for two years,I found I cann't read the words right. But I want to learn it ,maybe I will need it sometimes.

Sorry, a minor mistake:

"There's some rules of learning..." should be "There're some rules of learning...".

My advice is to avoid simple grammatical and/or spelling errors by proof reading what you have written at least twice; the use of simple grammatical and spelling checks provided by Microsoft Word is always helpful; try to use simple English and write simple sentences unless you want to show your literacy in English.
